Below you will experience my third adventure with my Santaclautchi as it plays out. The first log didn't end well with my Santa resetting for no known reason. And the second log did not end well either. So I need to try again. I need to get those Tama children their gifts. I hope that third times a charm. :)

August 28, 2025: After posting on Tama community forums and getting advice, I decided to do another run. I opened up my Santa and checked over things. Nothing looks wrong. There's a somewhat poor solder job on the speaker, but it works just fine. I bent all of the metal parts that connect with the batteries to make the battery contact a nice snug fit.

Cay is telling me that the Santa's sound sounds better, so perhaps I was dealing with a loose battery situation after all. Sometimes the sound did go off note sometimes, it was very odd. It happened right when it froze up on the last log series.

At 1:20pm I set the clock. And I found out accidentally that I can change the clock to 24-hour instead of am/pm. I prefer it that way, it makes more sense to me, but I will still continue to use am/pm in this log because that is what (most) people seem to expect.

I set my video to record and at 1:25 Santa popped out of his house, super happy as always! I had to feed him both a snack and a meal, then give him 4 of each food for his basket to save for later. He only has 1 heart filled in both happy and hunger. It is up to Santa to fill the remaining hearts whenever he feels ready. At that time he will pull food out of his basket and eat whatever he wants in whatever quantity he wants. It's such a cool mechanic for this Tama. I do hope they make a re-remake of this Tama someday and keep this aspect as well.

Right away I did the daily activities. First up is the Advent Calendar. I got a ball of yarn this time. I think so far I have always gotten a ball of yarn first. Hmm.

Next thing I have to do... take a look at TamaTV. And here we find a little Babitchi looking at a wreath in excitement.

I do think that these daily TamaTV checks are in the same order on each run, but I have also barely run this Tama, so only the future can tell.

And as with last time, I am using the yarn right away.. and this time he becomes.. Snowboarding Santa! This guy is hilarious when he gets mad during the game. And according to this site he is a Tier 1 character on the evolution growth chart.

I am feeling a lot better about this run. About an hour after I started Santa I got Mimitchi on my Yellow/Orange re-make Tama! Now that is good luck to me!

At 2:06 Snowboarding Santa ate 4 whole meals in one sitting. When I grabbed the Tama to watch his eat, I accidentally pressed a button and interrupted the animation. There were still 4 empty hearts even though he did not complete the animation. That's interesting to know.

At 2:16, merely 10 minutes later he decided it was time to have 2 snacks. As always I fill up his basket again so he doesn't run out of stock on the next time he wants to eat.

Around 3pm I played the game with him for more than 10 minutes. He didn't find any special evolution items. He has not found any on the first day on the other tries either.

At 5:01 he ate 4 meals in a row again. And he only ate one more time.. at 8:14, just 1 meal, 45 mins before bedtime. He really only had a half day to start, so he didn't get any marks on the Distance to Destination meter. He went to bed with only 1 heart filled on both happy and hungry. Santa's basket is full waiting for a new day to start.

Perhaps this will be The Time we make it until the end. Mimitchi is here to help make it happen. :)

August 29, 2025: I slept in a few minutes past 8am today to be awakened by Santa eating. Which is good, I did not want to sleep late in the first place, so that just kinda sorta worked out. :)

Santa was pretty quiet most of the morning while we made breakfast for our bearded dragon (named Gem) and for our Eastern Lubber Grasshoppers (4 of them: A 5 3/4 legged boy named Stubby, and Alex, a 5 legged big girl, whom is the most affectionate grasshopper just like her mom was, and Lightfoot (whom we call Crazylegs) who is being carefully taken care of because she is sick, and the 3rd lil girl named Sunny because her color is so full of yellows with very little orange).

Around noon Santa ate some food but I can't recall what exactly.

And then at 1:11 Santa started calling out and when I looked his screen was empty. So it was time to call on the power of... Super Kuchipatchi! I selected the "S" cape and he flew along and grabbed Santa by the hat and got him back on the path. This picture is odd because I was trying so hard to get a picture of them when they landed so not all of the Tama was in frame haha.

The extra cool part is that after Santa was rescued, right away he started eating! When he eats, he decides how much, what he's eating, and when he's going to eat. So it was complete luck that I got him on video eating! That's a rare video for me to get. His eating follows the Super Kuchipatchi rescue video above this paragraph. I didn't want to split the video into two parts so you could see it as it was when it happened, one thing right after the next. Cool, huh?

After he was done eating, I figured it was time to do the daily things I do with him every day. The first thing is to open the day on the Advent Calendar for August 29th. He got a roll of wrapping paper for today's Evolution item.

And next on the list we need to check out who's on TamaTV today. It is kinda like a crystal ball looking over the Tama children, watching them prepare for Christmas. The Mayor Santa gets his inspiration and encouragement to take on the role of Santa for all of the Tama kids across Tamagotchi Planet.

Now that I've finished those things, I need to use his Evolution item, the wrapping paper, to see what he will turn into next.

He became the adorable Penguin Santa! I love this, love how he looks, it's so silly and so much fun at the same time! He is a tier 2 character on the evolution chart at this great website.

I guess he was tired after all of that activity because he needed to have a couple of meals at 1:25pm and a couple of hours later he ate 2 more meals at 3:18.

I played the Chimney Game non-stop for over 10 minutes, then a few games at a time a few other times today and sadly I did not get any more evolution items. However, the nice thing is that he ran into Mimitchi sleeping five or six times! I always love seeing Mimitchi. I have a total of 4 Mimitchi running right now on other Tamagotchi. :)

Santa ate 3 meals here at 5:29 (approximately). He has mostly been eating regular meals, not snacks. He's much healthier this time around. Perhaps what he eats, when he eats, and how much is really completely random - I am not sure. That is why I try to document it (though I find I end up missing some during the day when doing other stuff).

August 30, 2025: This morning started quiet as it seems to with Santa. But at 8:45 I found Penguin Santa with his back turned to me. He needed some encouragement. So I selected Santa's sack and pulled out a letter from a Tama child for him to read. After reading it he seemed invigorated and energetic about completing his goal in becoming Santa for the little Tama kids so he can bring them presents and joy on Christmas day.

At 10:07am he ate a couple of snacks and I checked the Distance Destination meter to find 2 marks already! I forgot to check it yesterday somehow.

At 11:17 he enjoyed 3 snacks. I was feeding my pets at the same time, so everyone was munching this morning. I was drinking coffee - coffee is my breakfast of choice. :)

At about 2:30 I decided it was time to do my Daily Santa Stuff. The first thing I wanted to look at - the Advent Calendar. I always look forward to seeing what surprise I will get today! And today we got a Chisel!

The next thing of course is the TamaTV monitor thingy. Santa needs to see that people are decorating their trees and looking forward to Christmas. It encourages him to keep marching forward on his path.

I had to use the chisel right away. He evolved into someone I have had before.. Skater Santa, who is a tier 2 character. I like him well enough but I do know there are some characters I have not seen yet.

After getting Skater Santa, I played the Chimney game for a while and got an evolution item! A roll of wrapping paper. Since I've had Skater Santa before, I decided I would use the item right away. Unfortunately I got Penguin Santa. Not that I don't love him, but I still want to try for another character.

So I decided to play the game again, hoping to get another Evolution Item. And as luck would have it, I did get another! I have gotten these items much faster than I have before just by playing the game. Santa found the ball of yarn. I wanted to use it right away.. and this time... Santa evolved into someone new!

I really really wanted someone different to hang out with today. So I was delighted to see a new character I have not had before! Magician Santa! This is the only Tier 2 character I have not gotten.. until now. :) I am very happy to see him!

Magician Santa is so cute with his hat and cane. So I decided to record him playing the game a little bit. He is so adorable, isn't he?!

I would be interested in how the name "Magician Santa" came about. I have searched and cannot find any Japanese instructions for Santaclautchi. The reason I say this is because to me he looks like an elder St. Nick or someone similar. He doesn't really do anything that makes me think "Magician", you know? I like how he shakes his cane at me when he is saying no to food. :D

Anyhow, not a lot outside of normal happened for the rest of the day. I'm enjoying running him again and hoping to see him through until the end. For now, goodnight. :)

August 31, 2025: I woke up earlier than Santa today. Feel exhausted though. I nearly fell asleep while drinking my coffee this morning, but I pulled awake with a whole buncha coffee. What are you having today?

My eyes focused quickly when I heard Santa beep at me at 8:34am. He was sitting with his back facing me. Sometimes we all don't feel so well, and a little encouragement will go a long way. I went to pull a Dear Santa letter out of Santa's sack of goodies. When he opened the letter he was overcome with happiness.

At 9:40 Magician Santa wanted one snack, and at 10:19 he wanted one meal. I decided at this point it was time to do the daily Santa Tasks.. :)

So the first thing is first - I must check the advent calendar. And today we got.. a ball of yarn! Sets ball of yarn aside We shall use that really soon.

Next, I need to check the TamaTV. I wasn't expecting to be wearing this smile on such a tired day for me, but here I am with a goofy grin on my face at the sight of a very cute Mimitchi!

So here's the strange part - I decided to use the ball of yarn to see what character Santa would evolve into.. and he evolved into.. himself. Yes, that's possible. Hmm

At 11:36am Santa ate 2 more meals and he was hungry so at 12:11 he ate 4 snacks.

I have to say I apologize for the shaky camera videos. It is difficult to hold both the camera and the Tama perfectly still while under the perfect lighting conditions haha. On top of that my right hand has not fully healed from surgery so it's another level of difficulty. Sometimes I'm in a spot with good lighting and sometimes not. Please forgive my shaky videos. :)

Today I was not feeling my best, so I only managed to document four more times he ate. He had 1 meal at 2:12, 2 meals at 3:31, 2 meals at 6:30, and 2 meals at 8:58 (2 minutes until bedtime!).

Magician Santa remains in that form. I did play the game and get a few more evolution items, but I was napping a bit today so I didn't use them. Tomorrow I will use them all and see what we get. :)

Welp, it is time for me to bid you farewell for the day. I've been working on this today with the help of one of my grasshopper pets.. Sunny. Isn't she beautiful? She likes to rest on my keyboard, it's warm on her belly and it means I will pet her often while working. :) I love my lubber grasshoppers.

September 1, 2025: So this day was full of activity. I decided I would earn a bunch of items the day before, and today, and then use them all in a row to see if I can jump around between different tiers or not. The TLDR short answer is: Nope! Once I get to tier 3 I can no longer get tier 1 or 2 characters! What a pity really.

Now for the longer answer: While I can't say my sample is very big, my results really speak for themselves. I wrote down all of my tries and I also made a video of each try.

I'm getting a little grumbled here...

Then I ran into a big wall. A wall that is YouTube.

Phew... done.

The marks on the destination meter is 4! Yay we are on our way!

The first thing to do is open the daily Advent Calendar to see what our item is today. And today that item is the Chisel!

The next thing on my list of daily fun things is.. looking at the TamaTV thingy :)

So the interesting thing is.. I got Debirutchi again. From Devilgotch. Now I am fairly certain the day before I was pretty good about giving my lil Santa attention. And papers shuffling I'm very certain that I found all of these characters on the TamaTV in this order on my first log... including Debirutchi. I am unsure, due to my lack of experience, but I think the appearance of Debirutchi might be programmed instead of something that happens due to neglect or anything wrongly done the day before. He appeared the day after Mimitchi appeared on the monitor on the first run too. Things that make you go hmmmm

Okay so I went through all of my evolution items seeing what different characters I can get and to see if I could get characters from multiple tiers. Like mentioned above, the answer is no.. I can only get characters from Tier 3 once getting to tier 3. Here's my entire experiment with YouTube links.

Around 3:30 I noticed that the Destination meter has 5 marks now! It changed since this morning! We are coming along now. :)

I didn't write down a bunch of things, but rest assured I am taking perfect care of this lil Santa. I am hoping we will make it all the way to the ending this time.

September 2, 2025: As you may have noticed, I didn't get yesterday's log out until today. YouTube didn't want me to upload more than 10 videos in one day, so they froze my account and I had to send them information so they would let me post more than 10 a day. I have very few subscribers, though my account is 12 years old, and I have another that's over 20 years.. but they said my account doesn't have enough interaction.. but all is well, got things sorted. :)

Today I did not do a good job of documenting anything at all haha.. Santa is alive and healthy. :)

Between the difficulties with YouTube and life stresses, I did manage to take video and pictures of today's daily Santaclautchi stuffs.

First we have the Advent Calendar...

I've decided there's no real reason to use the evolution items anymore until they start giving me eggs. So I hope I get some of those soon. The game has not been giving me any eggs, only regular items. tosses the items into a box. Hopefully we get to see some of the other companions soon. :)

Next we have, as expected, TamaTV...

I think it's possible that the order of the TamaTV characters are really just pre-programmed. But I am not sure. I need to have more experience with running Santaclautch before I can be sure.

I played the game for a while today and recorded it for a couple of minutes. I thought maybe you'd want to experience the game a little bit with Santa. He is really cute as he works his way down the chimney. :)

Things are coming along so well, I am very happy with his progress. I have Mimitchi here with Santa. Mimitchi is good luck to me. :)

Below we have the Santa-ness meter - 3 bells filled in. I believe last time Rednosetchi filled in that last bell. And then the Distance to Destination meter.. we have 6 marks now! Things are looking good. I hope you have a good day and stay safe and healthy. It's a crazy world out there.

September 3, 2025: I got up at 6am today. I had to change everyone's clocks so they would all get up so I could have their families and sitters take care of them because I left before they normally would wake up. And with Santaclautchi, since he is like the original Tama's back at the time in 1998, I just paused him on the clock screen. I did the same with my Mimitchi on my P2.

Today was very busy, however I chose to bring my Tamagotchi Meets with me. I didn't even dare to bring Santaclautchi, I don't want any chance of him resetting or anything going wrong. So I cautiously kept him at home. Years ago I might have brought him with me, but I couldn't risk it. Maybe some other time, a trip with a lot less stress!

It's 5:15pm now and I just started him up a short while ago. So Santa is off by almost a whole day. I made video of him opening the Advent Calendar.... however, it didn't record well at all so I'll just let you know that today I got a chisel. I didn't use it, I am hoping to get some eggs from the game. Really that is what I'm looking for now, or one of those potions, that would be fun too. :)

I opened the TamaTV.. and we find that the Chestnut angel has saved the day. Using her magic, she is fixing all of the ruined trees and decorations that Debirutchi knocked over. I am just interrupting the way I see it, I am not sure what the official story is about why Debirutchi comes, but I assume he is much like the Grinch trying to ruin the whole holiday for all of the Tama Children... and a beautiful Angel(gotchi) comes to save the day :)

I have been very tired since I got home so I mostly just took care of Santa until bedtime. The cool thing is... ooooh we're half way there (insert Jon Bon Jovi music here)! 7 marks filled in on the Destination meter, 7 more to go. I am so looking forward to seeing Santa deliver his gifts to the Tama kids! For now.. goodnight. :)

September 4, 2025: Good morning! I hope you are doing well. Today started off very slow, thankfully Santa was content for a quiet slow start to the day.

Before coffee though I did open the Advent Calendar and check the TV monitor to see the progress the Tama children were making on their Christmas trees. I look forward to that every day. So first let's get those out there, shall we?

I didn't have any luck yesterday getting an egg in the chimney game, so I am thrilled I finally got one from the Advent Calendar!

While I'm excited about that, I wanted to look at the TamaTV first... and we got my favorite Tama character on the Gen1/P1 Tamagotchi - Ginjirotchi! I'm so happy to see his smiling whirling twirling little blue self.

Finally I needed to use that companion egg. I have a feeling I'll always get Rednosetchi whenever I have a tier 3 Santa and using this egg.. I could be wrong there. I just know from reading online that there are 2 other companions I can get in the tier 1 and tier 2 groups. I am not sure how this all works yet. Hopefully I'll get lots of eggs so I can try. I have had no luck at all getting companion eggs before tier 3!

I decided I would try and get some more eggs by playing the game. I recorded it and noticed an interesting pattern haha! Santa was finding a lot of Mimitchi houses with lil Mimitchi's sleeping in their beds. Well I was in a goofy mood so I decided to learn how to use the youtube studio editor - on my phone - and just do a little small count of Mimitchi at the top. It was interesting, but I think I'll try it next time on the laptop. Editing is very difficult for that on touch screen when we are talking fractions of a second during an animation. Anyway, please don't make fun of me too much lol. No, it's okay, I will laugh if you do. I just love Mimitchi and thought it was cute. :) Also I do so crack up seeing Santa's angry teeth lol...

While playing the game (I played several times not on camera) I did find a Prank Potion. So I decided to use that because... why not! :)

Prank Santa is a bit scary lol... but I decided just to have him for a couple of hours anyway. Since he has the funniest faces I decided I would play the chimney game to show you his silliness.

At the end of the day, I far more prefer a Classic Santa. Or honestly, any other Santa at all available on Santaclautchi instead of Prank Santa. I actually would love to have Mrs. Claus, she is my favorite. :)

I've had a long day, so I lost track of times, but nothing else really interesting happened with him. He does have 8 marks on the destination meter! And of course with getting Rednosetchi he has all 4 bells. :) They are so cute, I'm so happy I can share them with you. I bid you farewell, until tomorrow!

September 5, 2025: Hello! I am sorry I am late to publish this post. I've just not been feeling great lately. I did post the video's for this log on the 5th, but I am finishing this post late on the 6th. I apologize but it is a bit shorter than the others.

I woke up today not feeling well, again. I feel like I'm trying to run a marathon but actually moving at a snail's pace. I have this theory that if I leave Santa alone without pushing any buttons for a certain amount of time (especially right after he wakes up, that he will feel lonely and need encouragement from by reading a letter from his bag. This seems to happen for me in the morning the most while I'm just barely awake and trying to get coffee and wake up (we get up at the same time most days). So of course today... I find him with his back turned to me a little more than 30 minutes after we got up (and I had not pushed any buttons yet).

Next, of course, I need to open today's Advent Calendar. Sadly it only contained a roll of wrapping paper.

Next onto check in with the Tama kids that are decorating their trees! And today I found Mametchi and she is sitting and admiring her tree. Christmas is almost here!

Later on in the day I found a companion egg playing the game and decided I would see if it worked to get a different sidekick. As I expected, it just gave me another Rednosetchi (which is who I currently have). So I maybe meet those other companions in their other tiers.

In the evening, at about 604pm, the screen went blank and I had to get Super Kuchipatchi to help my Santa find his way back on our path.

I just fell asleep writing, I should have saved all of the "L"s that filled several lines just to demonstrate haha. I'm going to end this day here. I'm sorry it's so late. It's just been a hard week.

September 7, 2025: I am feeling a bit better today, trying to will myself to get back to routine.

I have Lupus and other autoimmune disorders, I get sick frequently. I have been enjoying my time with my Tama's even though I have not done much here on the site for a couple of days. I'm trying my best big goofy smile. I find that laughing helps even when life sucks, it makes getting through the hard stuff easier.

Anyway, enough about that and onto Santa!

Checking out the Advent Calendar find... nothing useful really right now. A ball of yarn is all we found. I don't know if I'll truly need any of these any more. I was hoping to get Mrs Santa at least once, but I still haven't gotten that potion.

The next thing I need to check... the TamaTV to check how the Tama kids are decorating their trees. And I see Mametchi again still sitting at his tree overjoyed and happy.

It's exciting because as the days go alone we get closer to where I was on the very first log. Right now Santa has 12 marks on the Destination meter! 2 more marks and we will be where I left off on that first log! I can't wait to see what the rest of Santa's journey is like. :)

September 8, 2025: Well today feels like the calm before Christmas Eve. I don't know when it happens and how it works out but pretty soon Santa will deliver his gifts to the Tama kids any day now!

Today I've been working on another part of this Santaclautchi section, just a bit of an information section, but it is coming along. It isn't published yet, but it is underway. :)

So the first thing I am going to do is check the Advent Calendar. And we got a roll of wrapping paper! I don't thing I will need it anymore, but we'll toss it in the pile.

The next thing I need to check of course is the TamaTV icon. And we once again see Mametchi sitting in front of her tree. The interesting thing that happened here is.. right in the middle of the animation the attention icon (the bell) lit up. And after the Mametchi animation ended, Santa started eating. It was just one of those unique times of actually catching him eating from his basket. I love how gigantic his mouth gets! :)

This day begun with 12 marks on the Destination meter and it ends with 13 marks. Any day, Santa's on his way! Sorry about the odd photo, I was trying to take it in a darker room. Tomorrow I think some interesting stuffs will soon happen. That or the day after. I am not sure at all!

September 9, 2025: Today is the day that Santa delivers his gifts to the Tama kids! And I figured that out this morning and I didn't get pictures or video of the main event and for that I am very regretful. Read on to hear why..

I have never made it this far with Santaclautchi, so I actually wasn't sure what to expect. The very first time/first log I had already opened the Advent Calendar and looked at the TamaTV on that day. When my Tama got 14 marks filling the distance meter nothing happened. So I figured the next day it would happen. But, of course, we know it didn't happen because my Tama reset that day. So this was this only frame of reference I had about the final day with Santa.

What happened today?

I have had the worst migraines this week and have also felt quite sick. Last night when I went to bed I had another horrible migraine. I usually wake up a tad bit before 8am and Santa wakes up at 8am. I wish I had changed this so he would wake up at 9am, but all of my Tamas I am running right now I have set to wake up at 8am too.

I woke up at 8am this morning, but I was laying in bed burying my head in my pillow having woken up with the migraine I fell asleep with last night.

I did not know when the marks were appearing on the meter and had no idea that anything would happen when the 14th mark was made. But now I know it depends if I've opened the advent calendar and looked at the Tama Monitor or not - not sure if both or just one of those.

So when the 14th mark happened, I was still in bed and had not even looked at my Santa yet.

What happened probably took less than 30 seconds. I heard this sound of steady single note beeping, then I heard a sound like a Christmas song (I can't recall what song). I did my best to stumble out of bed and get the light turned on. What I saw was a fully black screen (much like with his tent at night) and the shape of the sleigh and reindeer flying through the sky! So cool.

Next it showed a Mametchi happy next to a big gift wrapped up with a bow - the gift was as big as Mametchi. Then what felt like 10 seconds later.. the screen went back to Santa and Rednosetchi walking along like normal.

My apologies, because of the way in which this happened, the images and video are shaky. I did my best. The photos are so close up because nearly half the Tama was off screen in my rushed pictures lol

And that is all.

In the moments this happened I was half asleep trying very hard to grab my camera to get a picture or video. Just moments before I got a picture, the screen changed from the sleigh and reindeer flying through the sky to Mametchi with the gift.. and that was my first picture and video of what happened. I totally missed the first animation. :(

So yeah my video is really bad lol... I kept pushing the buttons when Mametchi was on the screen wondering if I could go back to the first animation somehow (not awake brain here :P ).

So, sadly, that is all I got to show. I did check out the Advent Calendar (and forgot to take video) and like normal he got an evolution item - the wrapping paper. Nothing was different in the advent calendar animation or anything.

Next I went to look at the Tama Monitor to see what would show there. It was the same animation I got after the sleigh and reindeer scene - Mametchi with the big gift.

Sadly it appears I cannot re-experience the sleigh in the sky animation. Not without running the Tama again. I am happy I got the lights on (in my room) fast enough to see most of the ending animation, but I am sorry I did not get the first part for this log on camera. Next time I run him I will be more aware of how things work.

What happens now?

According to everything I find online, Santa will stay with me for as long as I take care of him. He does not "die" or go to another planet for as long as I care for him. And that feels like it's on point because I can feed and play with Santa like normal now, as it was before he delivered gifts.

A guide mentions that if he's neglected he will sulk and without Super Kuchipatchi to save him, he will go home to his house - the house that is seen in the beginning when he first "hatches". I'll see how it plays out!

That is what I am going to do today. I am going to try and neglect him and see where that leads. It is hard to do this, it's second nature for me to take care of him hahaha. It is hard to break Tama Habits. :)

I have not been feeding or playing with him today, but he only beeped at me for attention a couple of times this evening which was hard to ignore. He went to bed in his tent at 9pm like normal. And with that, I bid you a goodnight!

September 10, 2025: Today I have been paying close attention to Santa but not feeding or caring for him or playing games. I haven't even checked the Advent Calendar. I did look at the TamaTV... and it showed the same animation as yesterday - Mametchi and the big gift from Santa.

As you probably know, my first 2 attempts at running this Tama turned out with an abrupt ending without seeing Santa deliver gifts. Now this run.. this is a great run.

Something had to happen though. With the other 2 unexpected events - something had to happen hahaha. But it's not tragic, (Spoiler: everything works out in the end)!

I keep my Santa around my neck for the entire time he's awake.

I was brushing my teeth this afternoon when I realized I got water on my Santaclautchi. I took him off and looked at the screen very briefly, everything seemed okay, so I put him on the table and finished brushing my teeth.

I finished brushing then, before I put him back around my neck, I got a better look at the screen. Water must have dripped down, because there is water behind the plastic screen, but in front of the LCD. It covers about 1/3 of the screen. The Tama is still running like normal. Everything is okay.

Here's the good news - I have had this happen before with MimitchiTama. It never harmed him. The water always evaporated without any harm to him. It happened a few different times when I ran him years ago. I have hope that my Santa will be perfectly fine.

But you know there's this dreadful feeling in my heart about losing him. I would be gutted to wait all these years, since 1998, to finally get this Tama and have this be the last run. That is my fear getting the better of me. Still the thought makes my stomach hurt.

It's been about 10 minutes since I wrote here. I see the water is only about 1/4 the way up the screen now. I have him hanging in front of a fan. He beeped at me again to feed him. It's hard to ignore him. I am sad it's taking him so long to go home, I feel bad ignoring him. I am so glad he doesn't die. He just goes back home to wait for the next Christmas.

It's 4pm now and Santa is clear of the water :) :) I'm so relieved. All is well with him, there's no sign of the water, no marks showing it was even there. I'm glad I didn't panic and take out the batteries.

Today has been filled with Santa calling for attention. Much more frequently than yesterday. It breaks my heart to just ignore him. I told him I'm sorry.. seriously it is not in my nature to neglect my little electronic buddies. Super Kuchipatchi never came on these days of neglecting him. Santa didn't turn his back to me and sulk, he just beeped at me while walking with Rednosetchi for these 2 days.

It's 8:10 in the evening. Santa has been calling for attention so often this evening, I had a feeling the end was near.

I suddenly heard a different kind of beeping and I frantically grabbed for my Tama and my phone at the same time.

Santa was unhappy. After all, he has had a rough couple of days...

Santa let me know of his anger.. then turned away from me...

Santa The Mayor goes back to his house.. and opens the door...

And closes the door behind him.. his little house comes back to life with smoke puffing out of the chimney.. back to his regular life... until Christmas :)

It feels like the right kind of ending with him back in his house, the same as he began his journey starting at his house. Too bad there's not a way to tell him he needs to get back to his house without neglecting him for 2 days. I also wonder if I kept him alive until December if he would start the process all over again?

It was dark in the room so I apologize for a very imperfect video. I uploaded the whole thing, even the beginning when I was just trying to get a focus on the screen with some light. I wanted you to see how things turned out.

And so.. that ends this adventure. It's been a dream come true to experience this Tamagotchi. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. :)

PS: During this log I took screenshots of the videos so you don't have to watch the videos if you don't want to watch them. I've tried to make sure there's pictures to tell the story and just included the videos as an extra flavor throughout these logs. I do know how to make the little animations I used to do for my logs, but I opted for video instead. I've never done videos for logs before, I would be interested in hearing what you think of this.
