Below you will experience my first adventures with my Santaclautchi as it plays out. I've been looking forward to this day for a long time. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy experiencing it.
A side note here.. I am realizing that a lot of the videos I have recorded and uploaded before August 20, 2025 have the TV playing in the background. I really didn't think it would catch it because it's not that loud IRL, but I can hear it as clear as day. I apologize for that and will try to do better going forward into the future. This is the first time I am including my own recorded Youtube videos on my website.
And now onto Santaclautchi... :)

August 9, 2025: Finally, after all this time, I get to play with a Santaclautchi! Not only since 1998, but I've had this Tama in my possession for a bit over a month. I kept running into things (appointments, life, the universe, and everything) that kept me from believing I could dedicate some serious time to this exciting Tama. So this day came along and I was just like... I'm not waiting any longer, I'm definitely not waiting for Christmas, I need to do this noooowwwwwwwwwwww!
I decided right away that I would wear this Tama on a beaded chain (very similar to the Tama keychain beads) around my neck so I don't miss out on anything fun.
So today at 3:29pm, I pulled the tab out. Instead of the usual bobbing egg, there is a cute little house with puffs of smoke coming out of the chimney.
Upon pressing the middle button I was presented with a screen asking for the month and day. The A button (left) for the month, the B button (middle) for the day, and the C button (right) to finish/continue.
The next part has the usual clock setting screen with the A button for hour, B button for minutes, and C button to finish.
After finishing that, I pressed the B button to go to the main screen. Unlike the original 1990s P1/P2 that scrolls between those two screens, this Tama instantly changes with no animation - much like the Angelgotchi Tama.
The main screen shows the house bobbing up and down with the puffs of smoke coming out of the chimney. After 5 minutes the house hatches lol... no, after 5 minutes Santa comes out of his house. :)
At this point I went through each of the menu icons, seeing what everything does.
This Tama has a very distinctly high pitched beep. If you were running several other 1990s Tamagotchi at the same time, you would know this beep from the others.
A couple more things become obvious right away. I don't actually feed Santa, I just fill up his basket. Santa chooses when to eat, what he wants to eat, and how much he wants to eat. So, unlike other 1990s Tamas, I have no control over the hungry hearts. If his hearts are empty but his basket is full, he will refuse any food or snacks given. My duty is make sure to keep Santa's basket of food filled up with meals and snacks so he can eat as much as he needs to, whenever he is ready to eat. One unique thing is I will know when he needs his basket filled again because when he eats he makes beep sounds (crunching sounds? hehe) as he chews each bite. So every time he eats, I just fill his basket with whatever he is missing.
That is so very different to me. It makes me feel like this is a very easy going Tamagotchi, easier than I expected. A complex and different program that requires mostly my ears lol. Of course I'm just starting so I may be quite wrong here.
He also never asks for discipline because there is no discipline meter. He doesn't change forms by hours of growth, instead he changes forms based on the evolution items I give to him. This Tama is a completely different Tamagotchi that doesn't follow the outline of what the P1 and P2 Tamagotchi do from the same time period.
Another major difference.. there is no poo to clean up. Santa does not poo. I am not sure where all that food is going!
Also, like many color Tamas years later, he turns out his light at night and goes to bed on his own. He also sleeps in a tent (not at the above mentioned house).
The first mince pie I fed Santa he ate normally. All of the mince pies and cakes after that flickered while he collected them. It sounded like he was eating, but really he was putting them into his basket.
At 3:49pm I opened up the Advent Calendar for today and inside I found a ball of yarn. I am not sure what to do with that just yet.
At 4:14 Santa decided to eat food on his own - he beeped along as he ate 3 pies. I replenished his stockpile right away.
I played the chimney game with him for a while. It is a simple game. I choose one of three chimneys for Santa. Santa goes down the chimney and sometimes he will get covered in soot (which makes him angry understandably!), sometimes he finds a Tama child sleeping (which makes him happy), and sometimes he will find an item (which also makes him happy). Santa's expressions are very funny, especially when he gets angry!
And look who I came across?! Sweet Mimitchi! Now that's not a face I expected to see on this Tamagotchi.
I am not sure if I am supposed to use the evolution items once per day or save them up and use several at once. So at 6:09pm I used my roll of yarn... and he turned into Snowboard Santa! Which from this site tells me is from Tier 1 of the evolution growth chart.
It's 6:12pm and I am just laughing here while playing the chimney game! When Santa gets covered with soot from the chimney (which means he loses the game) he gets super mad and breaks his snowboard in half. Not just once but 3 times as the animation plays lol. I had no idea that a Snowboarding Santa could get so angry! I wouldn't like being covered in soot either, but I don't think I would break my snowboard in half with just one arm so easily. If I had a snowboard that is haha shrug.
A really unique thing to me is the way the Chimney game functions. Instead of having a set of 3 out of 5 rounds on the game, one game is simply choosing which of the 3 chimney's he will go down. Then he will react happy or mad based on what happens. And that one choice and his reaction is a full game. It's so much simpler than I expected.
I checked his Tama TV icon and I saw a Babitchi looking at a wreath, all happy n stuffs.
At 6:23pm he ate all 4 meals in his basket, depleting his stock completely, but filling his hunger hearts all the way. I gave him 4 more to put in his basket for later.
Interestingly his weight went up by 4. If he is simply keeping some for later in his basket, why is he gaining weight each time? Maybe he is stepping on the scales holding all of his stuff including the basket haha.
Somewhere in the evening Santa ate some cake and I forgot to note the time and the amount. Oops.
Snowboarder Santa went to bed at 9pm. He turned out the lights on his own and quietly went to sleep. When I looked at the screen I saw that he was snoring under the night sky in a tent.
August 10, 2025: Santa woke up on his own at 8am today. While I was taking care of my pets and feeding everyone IRL, he was pacing about his screen. At 8:31am he ate two meals. Two hearts were still empty on the status meter, but I guess he only wanted those two meals for now. I did fill up his basket again right after he ate.
At 9:50am I opened the Advent Calendar. I got a roll of wrapping paper! Like the yarn from yesterday, this is an evolution item. I used the item right away and he changed into another Tier 1 character - Sailor Santa! My sister Cay is a Sailor so I was excited to show her. She isn't into Tamagotchi, but she still looks at characters and watches animations with me. She thinks he is cute. Cay supports and encourages my love of Tamagotchi - she purchased this Santa for me. :)
Anyway, in looking at the status meter, I noticed that none of the Bells are filling up yet. They indicate his "Santa-ness". I am guessing that is how convincing the Mayor is at being Santa? When they are all filled, he will fully be Santa. Oh it says on this site that the bells will be filled in once he changes into all of the tier 3 characters.
Just an interesting side note.. when I had Google Lens translate the Japanese it said the word is literally "Santa-Likeness". I only discovered Google Lens recently, so I think it's just fun to see what it says. I always look at it with a grain of salt - we know how 'accurate' Google translate is sometimes haha.
At 10:09am he ate one meal. I again filled that empty spot in his basket with a new meal.
When checking the Tama TV icon, I now see a Tamatchi decorating a small Christmas tree. Super cute!
At 10:59am he again ate some food - 3 meals this time. As always, I refilled his supply right after.
There was quite a while of quiet time until 1:38pm when Santa ate 2 more meals. I am paying super close attention to this Tama, wearing him around my neck every day. So I am still unsure if I am forgetting to write things down or if he really is that quiet for that long of a period of time sometimes.
At 3:28pm he ate 4 meals. After that, I checked the Tama TV again - it still showed the same animation with Tamatchi as earlier. I guess that only changes once per day.
Now it's time for some games. I ran into my sweet Mimitchi again and another small fellow under the covers. Santa also got soot on his face.. something he is never happy about.
At 3:31pm he beeped. I looked at the screen - Santa was nowhere to be seen and the Attention light was on. I checked all of the menu selections along the way until I found the one that worked - the icon with a superhero cape and a big S in the middle. I watched as Super Kuchipatchi flew from the right side of the screen to the left and off screen, and then he came back on screen heading to the right and he was carrying Santa with him. Kuchipatchi returned Santa safe and sound!
That sure was an interesting experience. Maybe Santa got off course and needed help to find his way back onto the correct path.
At 4:32pm Santa ate 3 pieces of cake and at 7:24 he ate 4 meals.
I heard a beep at 7:46 and once again saw the screen was blank with the attention light on. This time I knew to select the superhero cape icon and along came Super Kuchipatchi to save the day! Sailor Santa went back to his walking. I looked at the status meter and noticed there is a line on the Distance Destination meter! My first one. I don't believe I did anything in particular to cause this, but I will observe over time. :)
Sailor Santa went to bed at 9pm. Once again he set up a tent and snoozed under the night sky.
August 11, 2025: I have multiple places to go today. I am going to skip this day so I can make sure to spend as much time with Santa has I can on his journey.
Today was definitely very busy. I did play with my other Tama's I have running when I had some time during the day. Then I spent the rest of the evening caring for my 5 color Tamas. Tomorrow I continue with Santa! :)
August 12, 2025: On the Santa Tamagotchi Advent Calendar it says the date is the 8/11 still. There appears to be no way of changing the date. That makes sense, changing dates would probably interfere with Santa's progress. At least the time can still be changed and it also functions as pause just like on regular Gen1 and Gen2.
So effectively to Santa today is August 11th. My dates on this log will now all be one day ahead of his, but I don't think it matters in August. I'm hoping that when I run him at Christmas this year that there are some additional cool things, but I am not getting my hopes up about it. We will see this December. :)
Checking the Tama TV icon... I find Tamatchi once again. Only this time he is on a stool because his tree is now a little bigger than before!
At 10am something very interesting happened. Santa beeped and I looked at the screen. It took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on. It looks like he has his back turned to me. There's also a thought bubble beside him with ",,,". When I press the B button, he will move his head to the side and look at me. He might just be feeling lonely. He's so adorable here though :)
When I selected Santa's Bag, an envelope came flying out and landed in Santa's hands. It's a letter from a Tama child. He got really happy and shortly after he went back to walking. How cool!! I love the little details of the holiday that Bandai included in this Tama.
At 10:40am Santa ate 4 more meals. And 8 minutes later I opened the Advent Calendar. I got the Chisel this time. I decided to use it right away and it turned him into a Tier 2 character this time - Skateboarding Santa! I called him Skating Dude right away haha.
At 11:26am I was playing the chimney game with him when suddenly I got another Chisel from the game! How cool is that? I like the Skater Dude Santa, so I decided to keep him in that form for the rest of the day. I like to enjoy my time with each character.
Santa spent a lot of time eating today. He ate 3 meals at 12:38pm, 2 more meals at 2:48pm, and 3 more meals at 5:01pm! Hungry hungry skater Santa.
At 5:18 Santa beeped at me. I saw right away that Santa had wandered off the pathway and once again had to be rescued by Super Kuchipatchi.
At some point I did notice that another line appeared on the Distance Destination meter - now I have 2!
At 5:57 Santa munched down all 4 pieces of cake - that's quite the sugar craving he has.
I was a busy person today so I didn't spend much time playing the game at all. So at 8:30pm he ate his last 2 meals of the day and promptly went to sleep at 9pm in his tent.
August 13, 2025: Well August 12th according to Santa's Advent Calendar.
8:42 I was out of the room for 15 minutes so I may have missed something.. argh. Santa ate 3 meals right as I got back into the room.
And I see there is another tick on the Santa Distance Destination meter - making a total of 3 now. Excellent. I read on one of those guides that the meter needs to be filled in 14 days for Santa to be able to deliver the presents in time to the Tama children.
At 11:18 I got a ball of yarn from the Advent Calendar. And the coolest thing happened... when I checked Tama TV it showed Mimitchi with a big tree. The smile on his face!! They did a different pixeled animation look for his mouth. It aligns more with the cartoon versions of him from the 1990s!! He's SO CUTE! I love him so much!
At 11:30 I used the Chisel I got from yesterdays Chimney game... and he changed into Santa with a Sleigh - a Tier 3 character yay!! Looking at the status now I see there is one Bell filled in!!
I decided a half hour later to use the Ball of Yarn evolution item. I got yet another Tier 3 character - Hat Santa - and one more bell filled up!
Right now Hat Santa is 103 years old and his weight is 150. I probably don't play the game as much as I could. I wear Santa on a beaded chain around my neck (the same beaded chain he has, but longer) so I don't miss anything he does. I just get busy with other things IRL and end up not playing the game very often. I will need to work on that. At least he feeds himself treats when he needs them to fill in those hearts.
When 12:24 rolled around I heard a familiar beeping (crunching beeps) and I hear him eat 2 meals.
After playing the game for only a few minutes, I ended up getting 5 rolls of wrapping paper and 2 Chisels. I thought items would be less common, but that sure was a surprise! Maybe I'll get to experience all of Santa's forms before he delivers his gifts?
My notes are blank for the next 4+ hours... I am uncertain if I fed him and didn't write it down or if that amount of time really passed with no interaction? It doesn't feel like that amount of time passed between events, but I am not sure.
At 5:32 Santa munched on 3 meals. He also ate more shortly before he went to bed at 9pm, but I forgot to document the time. My brain - it's not always fully functional! I noticed after Santa went to sleep that he has 4 bars in the distance destination meter now!
August 14, 2025: August 13th in Santa's Advent Calendar.
At 8:17 this morning the Tama beeped and I looked at the screen to find it blank. I selected the superhero cape icon and Super Kuchipatchi grabbed Santa by the hat and dragged him back to me!
At 8:38 Santa ate 3 meals and at 8:47 he ate 2 cake slices as a snack.
There was a long period of silence again until he munched 3 more meals at 12:38pm and then he ate all 4 slices of cake from his basket at 1:48.
And now, at 2:30pm I am just now opening his Advent Calendar... to get a Chisel.
I see there are 4 Destination lines on the meter too!
Here's the possibly bad news.. on Tama TV it shows Debirutchi happy that he knocked his tree on its side. I'm guessing that Debirutchi would naturally be happy to see a Christmas tree ruined. Very silly and unexpected! I hope I haven't done anything wrong with my Tama so far. Debirutchi showing up and knocking down trees worries me.
In Santa's sack I see that there are still 3 items I have not found that are represented with a question mark in a box. However, right now it shows I have 5 rolls of wrapping paper, 3 chisels, and 0 balls of yarn.
Upon using the chisel Santa changed into a character I've had already - Sleigh Santa. Nothing changed on the Status meter.
How about I try again? Using the Wrapping Paper this time I got... the 3rd Tier 3 character - Classic Santa! :) Yes! He looks like a real Santa now. :)
And, as I hoped, a 3rd bell is now filled just leaving 1 bell left. :)
I tried 2 more wrapping paper rolls and he turned into Classic Santa both times. So he is staying this character now it would seem.
At 4:27 I checked Santa's Status and I see now there are 5 lines in the Destination meter!
Santa ate just one single meal at 5:09. He was quiet most of the evening as I watched movies with him watching from around my neck. It reminds me of the times I used to bring Mimitchi Tama into the movie theatre and hang him on my shirt so he could watch the movies with me. :)
August 15, 2025: As before though.. it's 8/14 on the Advent Calendar.
My little Santa woke up at 8am with me again. He's influenced me to have a better sleep schedule. :)
So today I decided I would interact as little as possible and see if he really is that quiet for those long stretches.. and he is. Right now it is 2:58pm and he's only eaten twice since we got up.
At 10:37 Santa ate 2 pieces of cake. And at 11:35 he ate 4 meals. And literally that is it so far. He is so easy to care for, it feels strange.
Somewhere between 3 and 5 Santa ate 4 snacks. I took a nap that was supposed to be a half hour that went much longer than that. I figured he would easily wake me up but I guess I was in deep sleep. He's not too far from my ears at all since I'm wearing him on a chain around my neck. It is nuts to me that I could sleep through these Santa beeps. I guess I did though, his food basket was empty of cake upon waking and checking his status. I don't blame him... while his caretaker is asleep, he snuck some yummies haha :)
Of note, he has 6 lines on the Distance Destination meter. I took a picture of it, but it was burry. I know I have some somewhat blurry pics on this page but this one was very very blurry haha. I try really hard to get good pictures, but it depends on where I am at the time.
Opening the Advent Calendar... a ball of yarn was retrieved.
Much like yesterday, today on Tama TV Masukutchi was next to a knocked down tree, crying. I hope there's something I can do to fix this. I probably need to fill that last bell and get all of the items, but I haven't played the game at all today in my attempt to see how little attention this Tama really needs. The morning really speaks to that!
I have had a lot of things I've needed to do, pets to look after, responsibilities, and a lot of stress. So I have, overall, probably not played enough games. I will remedy that tonight and the coming days. I gotta believe that it would be a lot more obvious if I have completely failed. I know I have 2 weeks total before presents go out, so I have gotta have a chance here. I believe there are plenty of days left for the distance meter to fill up completely. So I have faith that things are going to be fine with Santa. :)
At 5:35 Santa chomped down 1 meal.
Santa ate 2 meals at 7:05, then I played the Chimney game for over 10 minutes. I only won 5 evolution items. Now I have a total 6 wrapping papers, 3 balls of yarn, and 7 chisels.
I used a few of the Evolution items earlier today, but my Santa remains Classic Santa. So that must be his final form. I tried a few yesterday too.. same result. Since he turned into this Santa, no items have worked. There are still 3 item boxes with question marks.. which I assume that means I need to find 3 more by playing the game or through the Advent Calendar.
We will see what tomorrow will bring!
August 16, 2025: As before though.. it's 8/15 on the Advent Calendar.
At 8:25am I checked through Santa's information. All the food is stocked in his basket, and there's still 6 marks on the destination meter. Going to the Advent Calendar Santa pulls out a roll of wrapping paper.
Then the coolest thing happens - going to the Tama TV icon... Kuriten (the chestnut angel) appears casting a spell on the fallen Christmas tree.. she is restoring the magic of Christmas in the tree. I hope to see the tree restored tomorrow so we will once again see the Tama children decorating their trees every day.
I think because I had a day or so where I didn't play the game so often that perhaps that is what caused this. Either way, I am going to make sure to play the game plenty every day just to make sure it doesn't happen again. I don't know if this is how it works, but it's my guess. Yesterday I played the game a lot and it seems like too much coincidence for it to not have something to do with this situation. But I'm not sure :)
At 9:05 Santa ate just one meal. I am having just one meal too - coffee! :)
I've been playing the game a bunch. There were far more wins than losses, and 2 evolution items. 1 ball of yarn and 1 chisel. Nothing new yet. Hopefully I get some of those hidden items soon. Right now I have 4 balls of yarn, 7 chisel, and 7 rolls of wrapping paper. I do believe that 7 is the maximum number of each individual item his bag can hold, because there were 7 chisels before I started the game.
Because the items don't actually change Santa, I have stopped using them. There are just 3 blank boxes with a question mark in them.. those items remain a mystery.
At 10:35 Santa munched down 3 meals. And a few games later.. at 12:02 Santa was nowhere to find. I had to again call on the Superhero Kuchipatchi! He pulled Santa back and back on his path he continued.
At 2pm I started playing the Chimney Game continuously for 10 or 15 mins. All 3 of the evolution items I currently have are now capped out at 7 total each. The game keeps giving more items, so I guess Santa is just tossing them into a pile of rubbish somewhere lol. No new items were found, sadly.
At 3:05pm Santa ate 4 more meals.. straight up finishing his stock. And as per normal, I filled his basket up right after he emptied it. This is a very different way to feed a Tama, but I like it.. then they can eat however much they want.
Just now, at 4:30, I see that there are 7 lines on the destination meter! He's on his way, slow and steady wins the race!
This evening I played more games with Santaclautchi, but nothing new happened. He didn't even eat any more. How odd. He just went to bed at 9pm as usual. :)
August 17, 2025: As before though.. it's 8/16 on the Advent Calendar.
At 10:50 Santa was sad so he needed to open a Christmas letter from a Tama child to help cheer him up!
A few minutes later Santa was super hungry so he munched down all 4 of his meals in his basket.
At 12:46, while working on pictures for this page, Santa started eating again - he ate 3 full meals. He's a hungrytchi today!
At 2:46 my Tama started beeping continuously. The screen was again blank.. Santa has careened off the path. I selected Super Kuchipatchi's "S" Cape.. and off he flew.. and came back with my Santa. :) Santa never reacts to being brought back like this, I guess he doesn't really mind. But being pulled by the hat through the air at top speeds might bother me haha :)
At 2:50 I decided it was time... time to open the Advent Calendar. And much to my excitement - an egg with antlers appears! I think I'm more excited than Santa and he's pretty happy! So looking on at the items in Santa's sack.. I find the egg listed. There's only 2 missing items with question marks now.
And as you can see... Santa has a reindeer with him now! Rednosetchi - what a fun name haha. Santa and Red walk continuously forward, from the right side of the screen to the left side and off the screen and moments later they slowly walk back onto the screen from the right side. How awesome is this?! This Tama is so much fun and filled with so many surprises. This is exactly why I read only instructions on a new Tamagotchi before I run one. This experience with the surprises and meeting new characters is filled with magical moments. And I'm happy to share it here. :)
The next exciting thing is... when I check the Tama TV it reveals Ginjirotchi (I love him so much! He's my fave Gen1/P1) happily looking at his tree. His Christmas tree is completely decorated.. and in Tamagotchi style.. the tree has a little face too. haha, I love it!! So Kuriten restored the Christmas spirit yesterday. :)
As you can tell, it's been a very exciting Santaclautchi day!! I am so thrilled to see Ginjirotchi on this Tama! So unexpected and makes me so happy!
Santa ate one or two times more before going to bed for the night. And I'm excited to say he ends the day with 4 Bells filled in and 8 marks on the Destination Distance Meter.
August 18, 2025: I did not run Santaclautchi today. I always have doctor appointments and things to do on Monday. Santa's adventures continue tomorrow!
August 19, 2025: Now Santaclautchi is 2 days behind because of my 2 days I paused him. So the Advent Calendar will say the 17th.
I got up late today, so I started Santaclautchi at 9am for me, but 8am for him. Immediately as I get the clock going, I go back to the main screen and there's Santa.. sad and looking away from me. So I get him a Dear Santa letter from his bag and he perks right up and continues on his journey with Red.
At 8:33am Santa has 4 meals. Not too long later he has 3 pieces of cake too at 9:45.
Something I am noticing today...on and off my Santa Tama has been making very different sounding beeps, sometimes almost like a beep extremely slow but also higher pitched. How odd. The batteries are brand new, and the pixels are dark.. I don't know why there would be any problem with the sound, but I hope there's nothing wrong with my new Tama. :(
Today was very busy, so I found myself juggling too much stuff at once. I did find time to occasionally play the game with Santa, but not a lot. And also making sure his basket is full. Like when at 2:33 he ate 4 whole meals.
Somewhere in here Santa ate all 4 pieces of cake. I missed him doing this. I was making homemade rye bread and I must have missed his call to me. I noticed around 5 that the cakes were missing.
I waited until after the bread was made and out of the oven to actually check on the fun stuff!
This evening at 6:04 I decided it was time to check the Tama TV... to find Mametchi! Sitting by the tree admiring it's beauty.
Next I checked the Advent Calendar but Santa only got a ball of yarn. Tosses it over the shoulder onto a large pile of discarded evolution items. Ahh well, maybe tomorrow on that one.
The rest of the evening was pretty quiet, except for the 1 meal he ate at 8:33pm. Though I did see before he went to sleep that the Distance to Destination meter is up to 10 lines!! I'm looking forward to each day as this Tama surprises me and always makes me smile. :)
August 20, 2025: Finally this page is online for folks to read. :)
This morning I am having my coffee and playing games with Santa. I decided I would record a short video of the game for a couple of minutes. So as I get to the point where I feel like I'm going to end the game... when something very exciting happens! A new item shows up and it's one of those secret evolution items I am just now seeing on this website. SO much fun, I love this!
So I nearly stopped the video, but realized.. hey why not just keep it rolling? I almost lost focus because I was excited. I stopped the game and went to use the potion. And here it was.. I was so excited my camera lost focus for a moment after I used the item haha. It caught it just in time to see my Classic Mr Santa turn into Mrs. Santa Claus!! Or as stated on the above page, Missy Santa. I tried hard not to read into detail about this Tama ahead of time, except how to do basic functions, so this is a complete surprise to me. I am so happy to see Mrs Claus included, I am very happy about that :D
I'm posting the video to YouTube, but I also took some screenshots in case you don't want to watch a 3 minute video.
A side note here.. I am realizing that a lot of the videos I have recorded and uploaded have the TV playing in the background. I really didn't think it would catch it because it's not that loud IRL, but I can hear it as clear as day. I apologize for that and will try to do better from here on out. I don't want to mute the sound in those videos because I want you to be able to hear the beeps, so I guess due to lack of anything else I can do right now, I will leave them.
When opening the Advent Calendar for today, it only gave us a chisel. Also, very strangely, Tama TV today shows the same animation as yesterday - Mametchi sitting at his tree happy. Hmmm..
This afternoon I was playing the game with Mrs Claus and I ended up playing over 20 minutes or so. Well it blew my mind.. I got 3 more eggs, and a brand new item I haven't gotten before! It's another evolution item, like the perfume but different. I like Missy Claus so I didn't wanna change anyone today. Tomorrow I will have to look that new item up and see where to go from here.
I forgot to keep track of her eating times, but like Santa has been.. there were not very many meals or snacks all day. She was extremely easy going. Before she went to bed tonight, I did notice the Distance to Destination meter is now up to 11 lines! So close now! :)
I have some things I gotta do in the morning, so I'm ending this log here. Tomorrow I'll explore that new item and see what exciting things happen tomorrow. :) For now, Goodnight.
August 21, 2025: And so begins the August 19th day in my Tama, but 21st IRL. :)
I was beginning to think that Super Kuchipatchi's job was done as he didn't show up yesterday. This morning at 9:35 Superhero Kuchipatchi did have to be called to get Mrs. Claus back on the path to getting everything set up for Christmas eve (in August haha).
At 11:03 Mrs Claus ate 1 snack . And at 11:19 she ate meals.
At 1:45 Mrs Claus ate 4 pieces of cake! It must be yummy! I also noticed that the Destination meter now has 12 marks - it looks like there's only 2 more days to go!
Well it's about time to open the Advent Calendar.. and nothing new. Just another roll of wrapping paper. Puts it in a box with over a dozen others.
Next I checked the Tama TV to see what was going on there. For 3 days in a row now, the same animation of Mametchi is on Tama TV. I have no idea if it will change again at some point or if it will remain the same for the next couple of days.
Because I played the game a bunch yesterday, I have a few pet eggs, so I decided to use one of the eggs to see if I can get any other pets other than Rednosetchi.
The same pet, Rednosetchi, appeared. So I am guessing at this stage so close to Christmas Eve that I can't get another pet because we need Rednosetchi to fly the sleigh. :)
I really would like to keep Mrs Claus but I decided to try the one item I have yet to try - the poison. I looked it up to make sure, I would not poison my Tamagotchi normally. Instead, this bottle turns Mrs. Claus into Prank Santaclautchi.
Now I was thinking.. if he's named Prank Santaclautch, certainly he does.. prankish things? So I decided to play the game with him for a while.
So, he didn't do anything unusual or much different from anyone else I have had so far. I haven't seen anything in particular to set him apart as being a prankster or anything like that. I am not sure why he has that name, perhaps the meaning of that word in Japanese is different than how I am thinking. Either way, what an interesting character.
A very important thing to note.. the Distance to Destination meter has 13 lines. Tomorrow or the day after is the big day I think! :)
Other than a couple of meals in the evening, there isn't much more to say. Today I'm not feeling my greatest, but I wanted to get this log out for today. If you are reading this on the 21st.. goodnight, sleep well. Tama-dreams to you!
August 22, 2025: I am thinking that I'll need Santa to be the Classic Santa to properly deliver gifts, so today I'm trying to get him back. Upon using the first ball of yarn, I got a hat - which turned him into Hat Santa. Next I tried the wrapping paper.. and the Santa robe appears and turns him into Classic Santa. I don't know if my theory is correct, but I'm hoping I will get the good ending so I figured I better get that Santa back. Since the Distance meter is at 13 lines and the 14th will be the last one.. I am thinking important Stuff will happen today :)
At 9:35 he chomped down all 4 meals and at 11:45 he ate 3 snacks.
Update 12:31pm: I am absolutely devastated!! I am so heartbroken and in shock. My Santaclautchi reset for no reason!!
Just about 15 minutes ago I was pacing in the kitchen waiting for lunch to be ready. I wear my Santa around my neck on a chain just like his chain. At this particular moment I was holding him in my hand. I was very frequently and excitedly looking at him and the distance meter. I so couldn't wait to see him deliver the gifts to the happy Tama children.
For no reason that I can figure out, suddenly my Tama just beeps a long familiar beep. I look down and the little house is bobbing up and down. I pushed a button and it was asking me to fill in the date. He's gone! My Santa is gone. :( :( :(
My friend Dennis, owner of Ginjirotchi.ca, has told me before of his problems with older Japanese Tamas resetting. He has been very supportive as always. He was hoping my Santa wouldn't be like this. Thank you my friend.
I will be doing another log series on Santaclautch and trying again very soon. Look out for that log coming in the next couple of days or sooner. Thanks for reading.
