Below you will experience my second adventure with my Santaclautchi as it plays out. The first log didn't end well with my Santa resetting for no known reason. So I need to try again. I need to get those Tama children their gifts. :)

And now onto Santaclautchi Logs 2: Another Try...

• Log 3: And Another Try

August 23, 2025: Today at 11:37 I decided it was time to make another attempt at Santaclautch. The first attempt was so disappointing, I do not want to give up though. This Tama is too cute to be finished. So, I hope with all of my heart that I can complete Santa's destination and see him deliver the gifts to the Tama children in 14 days.

So here we go... I'm setting the date and time.. and in 5 minutes Santa hatches.. errm comes out of his house.. super happy and ready to begin his journey!

This next video shows his status and basket status after he first hatches.. I mean pops out of his house. ;) Then I feed him and fill up his basket right away.

You'll see he is empty on all hearts and that he will eat the first meal and the first snack, but he will collect 4 more of each item and stash them in his basket. He only ever directly eats one when all of his hearts are empty, otherwise he always puts them in his basket if there is any less than 4 of each item. He will eat whatever he wants when he is ready. This is a very cool and unique characteristic of the Santaclautchi. I really like this mechanic, it makes a lot of sense to me. :)

In addition to that, you can hear him eating (one bite/beep at a time) so you know he will need a refill on his food. A huge difference here is that if Santa finishes eating all of his meals or his snacks he does not do any additional beeps to let you know to fill them.

The next thing I did was open the daily Advent Calendar.. and we got a roll of wrapping paper!

After that, I had to check out Tama TV.. to find this cute lil guy putting up his tree. :)

And that is much of my daily routine each day with Santaclautchi. Since Santa received a evolution item, I decided I would change him right away... and I got Sailor Santa! Which from this site tells me is from Tier 1 of the evolution growth chart. I find him to be very cute. So I'll keep him awhile!

At 12:10 (approx.) he ate all 4 meals. And at 12:26 he ate 2 snacks. He's a hungry man!

At 2:06pm Sailor Santa ate 2 meals, so I quickly restocked his basket to make sure he has all the food he wants when he is ready to eat more.

He ate a couple more times, but I lost track. I played the game for around 10 minutes straight and several other times and not once did I get an evolution item. I am thinking you can't get them on the first day from the game. I am not certain, but I will keep trying for sure.

I didn't get any special items from the game today. I will try again tomorrow of course. It was mostly a calm evening until Santa started beeping a bunch and when I looked, Santa was nowhere to be found. So I had to call the local superhero Kuchipatchi! He helped Santa find his way back on his journey.

At 3 minutes until his bedtime he ate 3 whole meals. Then off he went for a long night sleep in his tent. We shall see what tomorrow brings. I am curious to see how a second round goes compared to the first!

August 24, 2025: Today I got up really early. I took care of my grasshoppers and eagerly awaited Santa to wake up at 8am

He's so quiet for that first half hour, it kinda feels like he's having coffee with me. I certainly was having coffee with him and all of my Tama buddies - Tonmarutchi, Mimitchi, Kawaisouni Mimitchi, Blue Mimitchi, Nejipegasatchi, and Supechotchi. :)

Around 10am I decided it was time to get the daily news on what's happening with Santaclautchi, haha. :)

Sailor Santa opened the Advent Calendar first to find himself presented with a chisel! I'm definitely using that today. While I love him as a Sailor, last time I didn't get to experience all of his evolutions.

Next I anticipated what the Tama TV might show today. I was kinda hoping that it would be different from last time. But I don't mind if it's not different, I have played with many of the same Tamagotchi forever and I love them each and every time I experience them. :)

So I am not at all disappointed to see the same animation as I saw on the first time around. Tamatchi is so cute. :)

The next important thing I need to do is... use the chisel. I gotta see my Sailor evolve!

Well I have had this guy before, he's a buncha fun. He's a tier 2 guy. If I manage to get anymore evolution items today, I will definitely use them out of curiosity but also determination to get other forms. :)

At 10:39 Santa was super hungry and ate all 4 of his meals. Instead of filling his basket, I think next time I will let the basket go empty and see what he does when he wants more food. I am curious if he will call out or pout or anything similar. I will definitely not do this on the regular, just once so I can see what happens. :)

At 11:31 Santa ate 1 snack only, then at 1:44 he ate 3 snacks. Because it's so automatic for me, I filled his basket completely before I remembered I wanted to wait and see what happens when he's hungry and it's empty. D' oh. Oh well, forgetful me...

At 2:32 Santa ate 1 meal. Now this one, I am not refilling. At 3:32 he ate 2 meals. So he has just 1 meal left.

A short time after he ate, I decided to play a bunch of games with him. I ended up getting an unexpected amount of 3! And they all came within the first couple of minutes. Even though I played much longer, I didn't find any other items.

I decided instead of last time, how I let them pile up, I am going to use them a lot this time around. So first I tried the 2 chisels and two times in a row I got the same Skater Santa he already was. But the 3rd item was a roll of wrapping paper and that one did not disappoint!

This guy is Penguin Santa and he's a tier 2 character! He is SO cute, I just love this little guy. When I first saw him I thought he looked like Elvis haha. I did not get video and I did not have the best lighting but I hope you enjoy the pictures anyway. :)

At 5:33 he ate 1 meal and thus finished his entire stock. I awaited to see what would happen, just to find out. And expected, at 6:36pm he called out for food. He ate one piece, then I gave him 4 more to put in his basket. I am glad he will call out if he's empty. With this Tama anything is possible. :)

Later on at 7:39 Santa had 2 more meals and then he was done for the night. Off to bed he goes. I leave you with this cute picture of Penguin Santa finding Mimitchi asleep found while playing the chimney game. :)

August 25, 2025: Well.. today is the last day of this log. Already.

Santa ate 2 times this morning and then luck had other plans for me..

I posted this on a few places on social media, hoping for some help. Maybe someone with more knowledge will have good advice for me so I can try this.. again.

If anyone has any advice or solutions for this problem, I would be extremely grateful.

This morning I was feeding my lil Penguin Santa when the Tama froze up. The buttons were making a different sounding beep as I pushed them (which I occasionally ran into before but it did not cause trouble).

Well he just froze up just like that while feeding him. 30 minutes later he still is frozen like this. I'm so sad about this. I am not sure what to do at this point. This is my first Santaclautch, and my second attempt, all of which I've documented on my website. I really want to see Santa deliver the gifts.
