Below you will experience my first adventures with my Tamagotchi Paradise!! I'm very excited to see what this very different and brand new Tama brings to the exciting universe of Tamagotchi.
This specific log is about my Tamagotchi Paradise Blue Water Tama - my very first Tamagotchi Paradise experience. I didn't read online how to do anything. I stayed with what I knew from the manual, so this is truly me going into Paradise without anything except a good cup of strong dark roast coffee. I hope you enjoy! :)
And now onto my Tama Paradise Water adventures...
September 24, 2025: I got my Tama Paradise within the first month of release, but I was in the middle of working on my Santaclautchi section to start the Paradise. Now finally... here we are!
I have both Water and Land Tamagotchi Paradise. I am hoping to get Sky soon.
So, today I took out my blue Water Paradise and made a beaded chain for it. I made it long so I can carry him everywhere with me around my neck.
I had several setbacks in my first attempt to begin my Tama. I had my roommate come home right as I was going to start him. I had to help bring in stuffs from the car. Then I had to handle some things online, and then I had to care for my pets.
Finally.. the time came. I got video going and I started my Paradise. As I put in the time and date, everything was going well. Then I got to the part about naming the planet and that was a huge wall for me. I am so bad at names for games or Tama's lol... So I had to set down my Paradise and have some thinking time on a name.
After nearly a half hour, I decided on my name...
Odyssey - "A long and eventful or adventurous journey or experience."
Planet Odyssey!
A perfect name for my Water Paradise! I might accidentally say "Sea" instead of "Water".. in my mind.. Land, Sky, and Sea seem to stick together. haha.
I will have a tough time coming up with another name for my other two Tamagotchi Paradise planets lol
So, I restarted my Tama Paradise and this time everything worked out. Though a funny note... I had not tried to turn the zoom dial on the Tama with one hand before doing a video, so I managed to create a video with a very silly attempt (and eventually success) of me turning that zoom dial with one finger lol
I have been practicing the one handed zoom dial turning since that video haha
A small side note here: I realized when I got to the "prosperous" screen that I had reversed the "sse" in Odyssey. So I misspelt it on the video too - I supposed I could have started over again, but I was ready to begin and didn't want to have another do over. Besides.. you would not have seen my silly attempt at turning the zoom dial with one finger for the first time if I remade it lol..
So, the first thing that happened after setting everything I got a huge egg on my screen.. and it hatched into a entire Tamagotchi planet lol... sooooo now we know how the galaxy was formed! It was the big bang - of an egg splitting open! ;)
Next I zoomed in to find a much smaller egg. I did not time it, but I should have, as it took a bit shorter for this egg to hatch. And when it did... out came a little Babymarutchi!
Like all other Tamagotchi I know, the first hour of the little guys life is very very busy with his non-stop needs.
I found out that names are now categorized by Genus! So my Babymarutchi is under the Water-Genus (as one would expect). This is a whole new level of awesome added to Tamagotchi, it is so amazing that Bandai is including this information. It will be especially interesting when mixing genes happens between characters - how exciting!
I fed him his bottle of Milk until he didn't want anymore, and a few Jelly Stick snacks.
Then I went onto the games. The games are as follows: Arrow, Flags, 3 UFO's, and Walking.
The first game I tried was the Arrow game. I was surprised to find it is the same game as the P1/Gen1! The little song played just as before on the original Tama. I won't lie, I was laughing and telling my roommate all about it with delight!
One thing I noticed right away.. the Arrow game follows the same kinds of patterns that the Gen1 Tamagotchi does. It doesn't continue one game after game like on the original Tama, it stops after just one game. It doesn't play the original Tama ending song though, sadly. Whenever I play I can hear it in my head at the end of each Arrow game haha.
I love it, it really makes me laugh and smile to feel this familiarity so soon within my few minutes of just starting my first Paradise.
Truly I love that Bandai included this game!!
I checked out each game after that. I was immediately terrible at the Flag game lol.. I am used to reacting so I get it wrong each time I am not supposed to do anything lol.. I'm not good at not reacting. I will get it soon enough.
The 3 UFO game is simple, very easy. It's a fun idea and well made. You just keep an eye on the UFO your character is in, then point to that one once the shuffling is done. I love that the original UFO from the start of the franchise is included.
The Walking game at first was a bit confusing. I looked at the manual after failing a few times in a row. I couldn't find the seaweed anywhere. All I could do is just keep trying to find it and try to avoid the shark as much as I can. The game itself is really great, the zoom dial works fantastic in this mechanic, I really like the implementation. I did end up finding some seaweed - you just have to be persistent, a good bit of it is luck. At least that's my initial impression. And keep walking, don't get stuck, don't go down the middle only, and try to travel as far as you can because that is most likely when you will find the seaweed - it's never close to start (so far).
The different foods are interesting, much like Uni and some others, you need to buy food in the shop to get some variety. You can also get food from the daily Egg Hunt.
After the Hour of Craziness that all Tama's go through during the baby stage, my lil guy turned into a Water Kid - yup that is the name! He's a cute lil blobby boy.
At that time, I got a screen telling me my planet reached Level 1.
The Paradise has no icon menu like some previous 1990s Tamagotchi have.
They have a menu that comes up when you press the A button like some of the color Tama's have had. They also have multiple menus based on how far you are zoomed in. The zoom dial works fantastic, it's very functional and comfortable. I have not found alternate ways to zoom other than the dial, but maybe it's mentioned in the instructions tosses instruction manual. I've been playing with Tamagotchi since 1997 I should be able to find my way around. haha
Little did I know... I ended up looking up a few things with the games in the instruction manual. Then I had other things in the manual I wanted to check out as I went through the functions. Since the icon menu is not on the Paradise, I find myself looking for stuffs on this Tama and occasionally needed guidance to where to find it.
Looks at the instruction book again.
Yup, I would recommend at least looking over the instruction manual a little bit haha. This is a much different Tamagotchi - which I think is great. Each Tama release has a new fun experience within.
I've only had this Tama beep at me twice today. One time while in the needy stage and one time shortly after.
Speaking of, there are certain things that seem to be missing. Discipline - which has been missing from many color Tama's so perhaps it is a relic now. Lights, which would make no sense for a Water Tama anyway. There's no Weight for the Tama character. And I can't imagine what the weight of Odyssey Planet would be haha.
The Status Meter info is kinda broken up into 2 locations. Like there is a status info part you access when you are zoomed all the way in and it is about your character.. for Happy, Hungry, and Age, then Genus type and Name (and also a QR code for a roblox Tama game). Then there is also a separate sort of Status for Me as the User in the Tamagotchi Lab - showing Planet Name, Planet Level, Money, Tamas You Nurtured (sorted into the Sky, Land, Water) with a list of species in each category, and finally my Birthdate. This is really interesting and new way of having a Tamagotchi experience!
There are many many things I don't know about this Tamagotchi because some things are locked behind age requirements (for both the individual character and for the planet itself). Which to me is cool, it leaves a lot to look forward to. :) There are likely to be a lot more interesting things to happen down the road. I am excited to see how it all unfolds. :)
After some poking around, as mentioned up above there is another place on the Tama that is quite different from past Tama's. It's called Tamagotchi Lab. In this Lab there is a mini-games area. There are several games here and eventually I can change the difficulty of these games. Right now they all will only start on "easy".
The first game is Feeding Baby Milk - for anyone that has had a Tamagotchi Uni you will find this game to be very familiar to the Fast Food game. You are just giving bottles to Babymarutchi's - but the mechanic is very much the same at a coding level I think.
The second one is Delivering Vitamins but I can't play this one until Level 4. In fact I also can't play Matching Meals and Catching Poop (lol) either. So we will find out what they are all about soon.
The next game that I can play is called Cleaning Dust. If you are an '80s child like I am, you will find a very happy familiarity in this game. My jaw dropped. I love you, Bandai!! This game functions like the game Breakout on the Atari! I am so happy about this game, I have some very good memories of this game and the entire Atari system, even though it took place at a bad point in my life, when I was only 5 or 6 years old.
The next game I can play is called Punching Meteorites. If the name didn't make you laugh, the game truly will. Basically Planet Odyssey has a boxing glove that it uses to protect itself and all of the Tama's living there by punching away all of the meteorites.. lol.. Such a riot, it cracks me up so much! Great game, I really just get a kick out of Bandai's sense of humor.
I need to head out, but I'll write more tomorrow. :) One last meal and off to bed for my little one for today!
September 25, 2025: A super cool amazing thing about Tamagotchi Paradise is that you can wake up your Tama anytime between 6am and 10am! How cool is that? So you can wake him up on your sleep schedule! It blows my mind how much I needed this and had no idea I did :) Edit: I also learned this evening that I can put him to bed anytime between 7pm and 10pm!
My lil guy turned into a lil red Octopus! Well on the Tama he is not called that, but that's what he is to me.
He changed at exactly 24 hours after he was born. Very interesting. I guess it's technically 1 year after born, as Tama years are 1 earth day. :)
He is categorized as Float-Species and his name is Float Young. He is adorable!! I love him! Have I mentioned in the past that I love Octopi? I watch YouTube videos on them all the time.
I did get some video with this lil guy!
First I had to clean up his poo. It goes into a huge bio container for use as fuel later(?).
That's not the only way you can clean your Tama. So Paradise has a really fun feature when you clean them. They don't take a bath like on previous Tama's. They brush their teeth, then you use the A and B buttons to scrub him down with a sponge. Then you press B and a rain cloud will come and wash him off! So much fun! Also.. he's a sea creature.. and it's raining underwater.. so we are functioning a little bit in the SpongeBob universe hehe.
I used to put music in my oldest Tama logs before that function was disabled in most browsers. Yesterday I took video of my lil guy just swimming around and I thought of a song I used to listen to. It works perfect for this lil guy. I apologize that the quality of this video is not as good as I hoped. Looks fine on my phone, but youtube kinda munched it.
So not only can you wake up your Tama in the morning, you can also put him to bed! At 10pm he goes to sleep, but you can put him to bed before that. It's so cool that Bandai put in this feature, I am seriously very happy about this.
September 27, 2025: I have to say that every day is very interesting with my little guy!! It's been hard to keep up writing and making videos lately for me. I swear I will get into the groove of things.
So today I just want to share a bunch of cute moments with my little guys. I say that in plural because I hatched a new egg today!! But first.. we do a little more with Kuraratchi! All of these characters act in unique ways, it is fun just to watch them when they are not doing anything but bobbing around and making cute lil faces. That is why I made a video to music the other day, and why I have another one for you today like that.
I knew I was able to hatch a second egg, so I did a few last minute things. I played with him a bit, washed him and made sure he was well fed and happy overall before I made the decision to hatch my second Tamagotchi. What can I say, I get a little bit attached.. :) I am just in no hurry to push things along. I want to meet everyone and experience their days. :)
So here he is playing the 3 UFO game. I like this game, it is simple and I almost always get 3 out of 3 on it. Except when I am distracted by things around me, like my pets hehe. :)
I only recorded that one game, but I played several games for quite a while.
Here he is playing the flags game. I didn't get video. And I also am not very good at this game yet. It tricks me into thinking I should push buttons when I don't need to lol.
After that, I got him all washed up. I do like the new way of washing. He's got to brush, scrub, and rinse and shake it off. It gives me an extra smile cuz it's underwater AND while it's raining lol.
And finally this video.. a nice send off video of him being happy, being himself. :)
Goodbye sweet lil guy. He's so lovable!
And this is what he looks like at a cellular level in case you are curious how I got him. Mostly, just the generic food and a bit of the other stuff, but nothing in particular. Also, I didn't have him change locations, he just stayed underwater. Gave him the best care possible.
So I finally decided I would hatch a new Tama in the Tamagotchi Lab. It says I have to put my lil jellyfish out in the field. I'm assuming I'll be able to visit him at some point?
I dunno why, but I tell you.. this guy is extra cute when he's angry lol.. don't worry I cared for him and got him feeling better after this video. :)
Like all baby Tama's of the past, he got sick. You sorta kill the virus by pressing buttons, which is a very different way from all past Tamagotchi.
After the Babymarutchi stage, he changed into Sky Kid.
I was granted the ability to change fields now that he's a Sky Kid, I could move him back to the water if I wanted. I prefer him where he's born though. Plus I really want Mimitchi! :)
So there's this ability to go on an egg hunt with your Tama and 2 other helpers - I am not sure who they are, I need to look it up. I selected Volcano for the area to go hunting.. and the cute volcano spat out a bunch of eggs and I got food for my lil guy. How cool is that? So that's how I can find supplies for crafting. Yes, like Uni, there is crafting! I'm finding lots of little new things as the days go on and the level of Odyssey goes up!
Today has been a busy day.. I want to write more, it's been hard finding time. I hope you are enjoying what I have written so far, more to come tomorrow!
October 1, 2025: I'm sorry to say but the next few days I fell behind due to work around the house and I was feeling quite sick for several days in here. However I did take pictures and video so I am going to post those here anyway. I wanted to write a lot more.
This evening I decided it was time to say goodbye to Oretatchi. As much as I enjoyed having him, I really wanted the chance at a land character - because Mimitchi. :)
Babymarutchi was with me from 5:30pm to 6:43pm. It feels like they aren't in that stage for the same amount of time. I'll have to keep an eye out for that as I am not so sure if I am imagining things or something here.
He changed into Land Kid and I had to take him Egg Hunting right away. I am finding that I can do this each time he changes, and once a day.
I also have a feeling those egg hunt foods found actually have an influence on what characters I get, which makes sense they did a lot of that in previous iterations of Tamagotchi. Without a discipline meter like older Tama's, what they eat and how they are cared for seems to be a big part of whom you raise. I am not sure about the things he can play with out in the field. It looks like everyone enjoys those toys without much preference, but I'll see as time goes on.
From the start, I have believed that the field I care for Babymarutchi in determines if he is water, land, or sky. And so far that feels true. I don't see any other way for that to be at this moment. All in good time :).
Isn't he cute? I do like the UFO game, but honestly I love the Arrow game the most out of those 4 games. It might be because I love the original P1/2 Tamagotchi so much.
I love that they all play with the different items out in the field. It always felt like just the 1 item was too few on the TamagotchiUni. With the paradise they will choose among the 4 (or less) items if you put them out in the field. He's so cute!
One, very unexpected, interesting thing is the ability to put items on your planet. After all everything in Tamagotchi Universe has a face. I think it's so adorable! I found this rainbow headband and 4 leaf clover in the shop in Tamagotchi Lab.
October 18, 2025: Today is the day I am catching up here. I am feeling quite a bit better now, with just some lingering symptoms. I caught a cold that stayed with me for a long while, I can't recall how long. So I have throat pain and headaches, but far less swelling in my throat now and the migraine isn't lingering anymore.
I'd like to share with you what adult I got for my first Land Tama.. and it was Mametchi. So he is still at the top of the chart lol.. So getting Mimitchi might require a bit more strategy, but I'm guessing he can't be too far from the top. Or did I not feed him enough of the right food? I don't know. He's like a rabbit so maybe he would prefer carrot? I'll have to try that next time, just feed him only carrots. I'll have to try that with each food actually over time. :),
Here's Mametchi playing the Arrow Game.
It was time to say goodbye to Mametchi. I think it's great that Mametchi stays in the field and watches over the egg and plays with my newly hatched guy! How cute is that!?
After Mametchi I decided to go for a Land Tama again. So I raised Babymarutchi in the land area and I got the Land Kid again.
My strategy this time was to feed only bugs to my Land Tama during his growth stages. I was initially going to go with carrot like I mentioned, but I wasn't getting many of those on the Egg Hunts. Instead I decided I wanted one of the reptile characters. I love my Bearded Dragon. She eats roaches and salads. She has eaten Super Worms before, but we only do roaches now. So I was thinking.. okay I want a lizard like buddy on Tamagotchi Paradise. I have seen the list of characters, but I am not sure if there is a growth chart out there yet. Probably by now there is, but I'm just doing my own thing.. going with the flow, seeing who I get and how. :)
Much to my happiness my Land Young character turned into a Leopard Gecko on the 6th!! I'm so happy to have him!!
Mametchi stays in the Land field so he plays with Leopatchi every day.
I've kept my lil Gecko, Leopatchi, all of this time with me while I've not been feeling well. He's great company! I know there are people that rush into everything. I know there are more things to open up to do on the Tama Paradise, but right now I am just enjoying each character and moving at my own pace so I can enjoy this Tamagotchi to the fullest.
That end this log for this time around. I will be doing another Paradise log for my Sky Tama soon.
Update: I have another log for Tamagotchi Paradise Land!
