Poo-Chi Leads the Pack in Holiday Toy Sales

VERNON HILLS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2000--Poo-Chi(TM), the Interactive Puppy, by Hasbro, Inc.'s (NYSE:HAS - news) Tiger Electronics, is this holiday season's no. 1 toy. This robo-pup is on its way to making toy history and is on kids' wish lists around the world.

Poo-Chi, Tiger's original member of the Robo-Chi family is having a record breaking first year. Poo-Chi is the no. 1 selling toy by dollar sales, no. 1 selling toy for new toys introduced in 2000 and is the no. 1 selling robotic dog by unit sales according to NPD TRSTS Toys Tracking Service. Since its introduction in April, more than 10 million Poo-Chis have been sold worldwide in 65 countries. In the past three weeks, more than 1.5 million Poo-Chis have been sold in the U.S. alone.

Tiger is keeping the Poo-Chi line fresh and exciting with new color assortments. Now ``spotted'' at retail are Disney's 102 Dalmatians Poo-Chi with robotic versions of Little Dipper, Domino and Oddball the star puppies in this season's box office smash hit.

Watch for other members of the Robo-Chi brand to come to toy aisles soon. Super Poo-Chi takes on the playful nature of Poo-Chi and now responds to voice commands. Meow-Chi, the Interactive Cat, is animated sings songs and interacts with its mouse toy. Next year, Tiger will have a whole menagerie of Robo-Chi pets including Chirpy-Chi, the interactive bird.

All Robo-Chis react to light, touch and sound. All breeds will interact together and sing duets. The more each is cared for, the happier they will be. Robo-Chi use advanced bio-rhythmic technology to create realistic emotional responses that adapt and change as each is played with.
